Creating "realistic" miniature figures in 15mm - 75mm

Citadel Historicals

Dark Age Range - DA

A range of Dark Age figures covering the late 7th Century up to and including the 11th Century. This range eventually featured Citadel's unique concept of individualized figures. Most of the Arabs, Turks, Vikings and Carolingians have been specially prepared to have different faces, helmets and shields to provide individualized figures of the same kind. Thus each pack of a figure is likely to be diferent, providing you with forces with an authentic individuality.

The Dark Age range of figures were illustrated/pictured in late 1979 and early 1980's Citadel and Ral Partha literature as a Historical range of figures. The first advertisement didn't mention "individualized" figures (Military Modelling Magazine, October 1979). The term "individualized" figures appeared in a Military Modelling Magazine, January 1980 Games Workshop advertisement.

The majority of the figures in this range were sculpted by, the then young, Perry Twins - Michael and Alan.

I have come across conflicting catalogue and magazine references.
